Game Description
Mario Bros. is a classic platform game released by Nintendo in 1983. The game allows players to take on the roles of the Mario brothers, Mario and Luigi, who battle hordes of enemies and collect coins in underground settings.
Gameplay
In the game, players move across platforms, jump, and bump the heads of walking enemies on the platforms. Enemies flip over, and players must quickly run up to them and kick them to get rid of them permanently. If you don't do it quickly, the enemy will get up and continue to bother you :) The game also offers a cooperative mode in which two players can face challenges together. The goal is to clear the screen of enemies and score as many points as possible.
On each level, there is a "POW Block" that can be used to flip over all the enemies on the screen. However, be cautious! The POW Block can only be used a few times, and it also lifts any enemies currently flipped over!
As the number of completed levels increases, the difficulty level rises. Enemies become faster, some can jump, making them harder to defeat and avoid. If the gameplay on a particular level takes too long, fiery balls start appearing, flying from one side of the screen to the other. Contact with them is not pleasant. In later stages, additional obstacles like ice patches that cause the platforms to freeze, making the heroes slide around, are introduced.
Every few levels, players receive a bonus level where they collect extra coins against the clock. Once enough coins are collected, they are converted into extra lives.
